Buckholt Labradors is based in the beautiful countryside near Canterbury in Kent. Frances Mount has been breeding Labrador Retrievers for over twenty years and many of the dogs that she now has are descended from her very first bitch - Ballyduff Wren.
The kennels and Frances's breeding practice and care of her dogs has been regularly inspected by the Kennel Club and she is a Kennel Club Accredited Breeder. This means that prospective puppy buyers can be assured that the welfare of the dogs and puppies will have been of paramount importance.
Puppies are bred with the utmost care from hip, eye and elbow tested bitches and dogs with superb temperaments, carefully chosen for good characteristics and spend their first weeks in the house, getting used to the sights and sounds of a normal household.
Frances has bred puppies of all three colours - black, yellow and chocolate, the majority of which have gone on to become much loved family pets. A few have gone on to be working dogs and some have been shown both in the UK and abroad.
During the spring and summer months, some of the dogs at Buckholt have been shown at various open and Championship shows, some having qualified for and been shown at Crufts. During the winter months some of the dogs are taken on local shoots.
